to come

To arrive at a place or come to a person. Said of people and of things, events and times alike.

أَتَى الضَّيْفُ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ مَسَاءً.

The guest came to the house in the evening.

to bring

Followed by the word for «with», it means to come with a thing or a person, that is, to bring or produce it.

أَتَى رَامِي بِالْخُبْزِ مِنَ السُّوقِ.

Rami brought the bread from the market.

to do, to commit

With an act as its object, to carry it out or commit it; said of a deed, good or bad.

أَتَى الْوَلَدُ خَطَأً كَبِيرًا فِي الْمَلْعَبِ.
