A person's power to understand and to judge soundly. It is said above all of a clear mind that is not easily clouded.
الْمُعَلِّمَةُ امْرَأَةٌ ذَاتُ لُبٍّ
The teacher is a woman of sound understanding.
What lies inside a walnut, an almond or a similar fruit and is eaten once the shell has been thrown away.
أَكَلَ سَامِي لُبَّ الْجَوْزِ
Sami ate the kernel of the walnut.

What the root means ل ب ب
