To help, to support against an opponent
To come to someone's aid against the one who wrongs or fights him, and to strengthen him until he prevails.
نَصَرَ الْجَارُ جَارَهُ عَلَى اللِّصِّ.
The neighbour helped his neighbour against the thief.
To water, to make green again
In older usage, said of rain that falls on a land, waters it and makes its plants grow.
نَصَرَ الْمَطَرُ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ جَفَافٍ طَوِيلٍ.
The rain watered the land after a long drought.
