Good, pleasant

Pleasing to the senses, above all to taste and smell: a savoury dish, a sweet scent. By extension, any good and pleasant thing.

خُبْزُ الْجَارَةِ طَيِّبٌ.

The neighbour's bread is good.

Pure, clean

Free from any mixture or dirt. Said of water, of air, of wholesome ground.

هَوَاءُ الْقَرْيَةِ طَيِّبٌ.

The village air is pure.

Permitted, legitimate

Figuratively, what the rule allows and one may take or do without blame. Said above all of earnings or property.

In present-day use, said of a person who is good-hearted, kind and without malice.
