Death

The end of the life of a person, an animal or a plant; the opposite of life.

حَزِنَتِ الْأُسْرَةُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ الْجَدِّ

The family grieved after the grandfather's death.

Stillness, dying down (figurative, older use)

By a figure of speech, said of whatever stops moving or acting: wind that drops, a fire that goes out, heat that abates.

جَلَسْنَا فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ الرِّيحِ
